About Empess Akua-Great great granddaughter of Aboriginals of New Guinea, In the tradition of her phenomenally successful sisters in spirit, Lauryn Hill, Erika Badu and Judy Mowatt, this “Sweet Messenger’s divinely inspired lyrics, comforted by her sweet, soulful voice, lie in a bed rooted in reggae and wrapped in smooth hip hop for a uniquely medmerizing musical experience. Empress Akua writes and arranges all of her songs.

She has been invited as a Special Guest, to join in the live onstage performances of popular artists of all genres, such as; Tina Marie, Fishbone, Divina, Rappin Forte’, Eek a mouse and LV.
